The City of Killeen needs your help as they develop a Parks & Recreation Master Plan aimed at improving parks and facilities.

Citizens of all ages are asked to take a quick survey on the city's website to provide feedback and help park officials set priorities as they work to make improvements. There are actually two surveys: one for adults over 18 and one for children under 18. Participants in both surveys will be eligible for prizes including raffle tickets, free pavilion rentals, and free passes to the Killeen Aquatic Center.

“This master plan will create the playbook for the fun you can have in our community,”  executive director of community services Brett Williams said in a press release issued Friday. “We are developing this plan to establish immediate and long-range goals in facilities and programs. Public participation in the process is extremely important so that we know what the people who recreate in our community need and want.”

The public is invited to a community open house concerning the master plan on Monday, November 16 from 6 to 8 PM at  the Killeen Civic & Conference Center, 3601 S. WS Young Drive.
