Police are trying to identify two suspects who stole several items from a Killeen Hobby Lobby and scammed a cashier out of cash.

Investigators say the pair entered the store at 2002 E. Central Texas Expressway on January 24 and approached the check-out counter with a small ceramic pot. The man reportedly asked the clerk to break a $100 bill. When the clerk handed him the money, the suspect purposefully confused the clerk and convinced them to hand over another $100. The woman then dropped the ceramic pot to cause a diversion and walked out of the store with several items. The man followed her out shortly afterward.

A $1,000 reward is being offered to anyone who submits a tip that leads to the arrest of the two suspects. If you think you know who they are or where they may be, contact crime stoppers at 526-TIPS (8477) or text BELLCO along with your tip to 274637.
