Killeen Police Negotiating With Armed Man After Shots Fired

Update: Police announced shortly before 10pm Sunday that the standoff with an armed individual in a Killeen apartment complex has ended. Details on how the negotiations ended have not been released. Police say there is no danger to the public.

Killeen Police Officers are negotiating with a gunman who has barricaded himself into an apartment complex according to reports from our news partners at KWTX.

A call came in about 5:17pm about a domestic dispute in the 4400 block of Lake Road in Killeen, At 5:50pm police received a report of two gunshots fired from an apartment window.

Early reports do not indicate anyone has been injured as a result of the shots fired. Police have set up a mobile command center, and a tactical response unit is at the apartment complex.

The police are still negotiating with the man. He is still believed to be armed.
