Killeen police have released the identity of a man who was shot during an attempted robbery and later died in the hospital on March 11.

22-year-old Jonathon Tyrone Bridges was in the parking lot of the Hillcrest Apartments on Jennifer Drive around 11 a.m. when he was approached by another man. The man demanded money, then shot Bridges and got into a blue car driven by a woman. The car then sped away.

Bridges was conscious when emergency responders found him, but later died at Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Temple.
