Yet another shooting in Killeen led to a high speed chase Wednesday afternoon.

KWTX's Kathleen Series reports that police responding to a call of shots fired in the area of North 18th Street and Culp Avenue found a man lying in the road with a gunshot wound shortly after Noon. They performed CPR on the man at the scene before he was transferred to Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center in critical condition.

A witness reported hearing six shots, then seeing a car pull away after a man jumped into the passenger side door.

Police spotted the car soon after and chased it at speeds of about 90 mph. The chase ended at the intersection of Roy Reynolds Dr and Rancier Ave. There were reports of gunfire and a crash at that scene, but neither had been confirmed at press time.

Police believe the shooter and the victim were arguing when the attack occurred.
