Killeen Toddler Fatally Shot
Killeen police are investigating the shooting death of a two year old child who was fatally shot Saturday afternoon.
The shooting occurred on the porch of a home in the 4600 block of Golden Gate Drive shortly before 2:30 PM. Investigators say two women were arguing when one drew a handgun and fired a round.
The child was hit, and his mother rushed him to Metroplex Hospital. He was later transferred to McLane's Children's Hospital in Temple, where he passed away. He was pronounced dead at 4:53 PM.
Police had not released the name of the child as of Saturday morning, and said the case was still under investigation.
