Killeen Woman Accused of Driving Drunk with Toddler in Car

A Killeen woman is in jail after police say she drove drunk with a toddler in the back seat of her car.

Officers were called to the 100 block of 28th Street Thursday night. When they arrived, witnesses told them that 27-year-old Lusia Peato had driven away with a child despite being intoxicated.

Peato was soon pulled over and admitted to officers that she had 5 shots of alcohol. She was charged with assault causing bodily injury to a family member and driving while intoxicated with a minor under the age of 15. Her bail was set at $25,000.
