There is a year-long celebration going on in San Antonio as the city marks it's Tricentennial, complete with a visit from the King and Queen of Spain June 16th-18th.

MySanantonio.com reports the King and Queen will visit a couple of art exhibits and landmarks that show Spain's impression upon the United States. Mayor Ron Nirenberg said

"We welcome their Majesties during our Tricentennial year to collaborate and build a stronger foundation now and in the future. The everlasting impact of Spain's culture is woven into the fabric of San Antonio's legacy for generations to come."

King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain will tour the Spanish Governors Palace and Mission San Jose, and the San Antonio Museum of Art during their weekend visit.
