Lee Harvey Oswald Handcuffs up for Bids
You can own a piece of history, if you act fast enough.
Goldin Auctions is auctioning off a pair of handcuffs used to arrest Lee Harvey Oswald. The auction sight says the cuffs were used by Dallas Police officer Ray Hawkins on November 22nd, 1963, just hours after the shooting of President Kennedy.
Officer Hawkins used the cuffs to secure Oswald just after he was discovered inside the Texas Theater in Oak Cliff. When Oswald fled the theater, officer Nick McDonald was the one who actually made the arrest, but after a brief scuffle they used officer Hawkins cuffs. And now those cuffs could be yours.
Bidding on the cuffs has started out at $50,000 but that price will likely rise by the time the auction ends in early December.
