Local Junior High Student Arrested for Halloween Threat
KWTX is reporting a Connally Junior High School student has been arrested after a threatening message was found on the restroom wall.
The words "1031 School Shooting" were found written on the restroom wall prompting an investigation. A similar message was also found at Connally High School and that message is also under investigation according to Connally ISD Human Resource Director Larry Cumby.
The school had additional police officers on campus on Wednesday according to Candace Teele (district spokeswoman). All students were told they could not wear Halloween costumes to school yesterday if the costume featured a mask. Connally ISD sent messages to parents in the Lacy-Lakeview community and surrounding area about the threats.
