Local Racetrack May Close Following Sale

Texas Thunder Speedway in Killeen may soon be closing, following the recent purchase of the property by a developer.
David Goode, promoter of the Speedway, confirmed that the property was sold to a developer in Houston. The track is scheduled to remain open until August, but plans for the property after that date are unconfirmed.
Goode said that the development of businesses and homes in the previously remote area has caused increasing problems in recent years.
