Locals March For Gun Rights

An incident in which an assault style rifle was confiscated from a gun owner has led to a rally and march in support of second amendment rights.
In March, Army Master Sergeant CJ Grisham was taken into custody after the police were called by someone who was concerned that he was carrying a weapon in public. The gun was confiscated, despite Grisham being a legal owner.
About two hundred gatheredin downtown Temple on June 1 to show support for Grisham and the rights of gun owners. Participants marched from Main Street to the Temple Police Department carrying handguns and assault rifles. Road blocks and bike patrols were provided by Temple Police for the protection of the participants.
Food and entertainment were available at the event and open carry organizations were present.
Grisham’s charges have been downgraded from resisting arrest to interfering with a peace officer while performing a duty. He has stated that he has no ill feelings towards Temple Police.
