Saliva taken from a victim's neck has led to the arrest of Marcel D'Shawn Ervin on the charge of aggravated robbery.

Copperas Cove Police Department received test results from the Texas Department of Public Safety which indicated that saliva from a robbery victim's neck matched Ervin's DNA.

The robbery occurred on December 26 at a convenience store on West Avenue B. The victim said that a man entered the store with a screwdriver and demanded money. The victim gave him $27 from the cash register.

The man then ordered the victim to give him the security tape, which she was unable to do because she did not have access to the computer where the recordings were stored.

The man began to kiss and lick the victim's neck and demanded she take off her clothes. They got into a struggle and the man fled.

Ervin's bond has been set at $200,000.
