KWTX is reporting that police have said the man killed Monday night on the I-35 frontage road outside of Troy was Albert Raymond Faulkner, 53.

His last known residence was in Leander.

Mr. Faulkner was struck and killed on the I-35 frontage road outside of Troy Monday night.

It happened around 9:30 p.m. on the northbound frontage road neat Lely drive. The driver of the truck did stop and try to help. When first responders arrived bystanders were performing CPR. Paramedics could not save the man.

No autopsy was ordered, and at this time Police don't expect charges will be filed against the driver.

With all this construction on I-35 you'd think that there's some type of plan to put in bike paths, or pedestrian paths to help separate man from metal.
