Melissa McCarthy Is Number One at the Box Office

As I expected my Homegirl Melissa McCarthy took number one at the box office this weekend, with  Identity Thief. Take that Rex Reed! (The movie critic said very mean things about Melissa's weight).

Identify Thief made more than $36 million. That's a great total for an R rated movie in February!  I am sure her co-star Jason Bateman is very grateful. The film was my pick to take number one.

Last week's number one, the zombie flick, Warm Bodies, dropped to number two with an estimated $11.5 million). Opening in third place was the thriller Side Effects,  with an estimated $10.0 million. Oscar hopeful Silver Linings Playbook  was fourth with an estimated $6.9 million. Hansel and Gretel, came in  fifth, with an estimated $5.8 million.
