It's a shame that some folks only know the tabloid side of Mindy McCready.  Did you know she started singing in church when she was just three?  Malinda Gayle McCready graduated from high school early at the age of 16 to start her music career in Nashville.

Her debut album, Ten Thousand Angels, was released in 1996 and sold two million copies. The album produced four chart singles on the country charts.  She was a rising star, until something went horribly wrong.  Mindy committed suicide last month.

Country Music Television explores her life in a one hour special that airs Sunday Night. Hosted by CMT's Katie Cook, the news special includes feature archival CMT interviews, never-before-seen video footage and interviews with country artists Ty HerndonRichie McDonaldLorrie Morgan and Jimmy Wayne.
