Missing Harker Heights Infant Found – Mother Arrested

A 7-month-old Harker Heights girl is in the care of Child Protective Services after being abducted from a foster home by her biological mother.

CheKenya Windham was arrested by Harker Heights Police around 3 p.m. Thursday on Fort Hood. An hour later, her daughter was located in the 900 block of Adams in Killeen. Windham had visited the child at a foster home earlier that day before abducting her and fleeing the area. An Amber Alert was issued and authorities feared she may have fled the state.

The baby was unharmed.
