A 45-foot outdoor movie screen coming to the Cultural Activities Center in Temple? Inconceivable!Throwback to one of the best films of the late 80's at the Cultural Activities Center in Temple. The "As You Wish" movie under the stars to benefit the Allison Dickson Baylor Law Scholarship happens Friday, August 19th from 5:30p to midnight.

Alamo Drafthouse Cinema from Dallas/Fort Worth will be rolling through Temple with the 45-foot mobile screen.

They'll be screening THE PRINCESS BRIDE complete with food trucks, local breweries, inflatable swords, face painting, Dread Pirate Roberts' pirate ship bounce house, Fire Swamp inflatable obstacle course, incredible auction items and full access to the art exhibits inside the Cultural Activities Center. This event is BYOC (Bring Your Own Chair).

Who can forget this instant classic? The sword-fighting alone is great! Actors Cary Elwes and Mandy Patinkin learned to fence (both left- and right-handed) for the film (reportedly spending all their free time during the production practicing with fencing instructors Bob Anderson and Peter Diamond, and with each other). They actually performed all of the fencing in the sword fight scene, although stunt doubles were used for the two somersaults.
