Sorry to make your Sunday Chick-Fil-A craving worse, but the company has made some big menu announcements that should have us all excited.

First, let's talk about the free nuggets.

From now (well, Monday) through September 29, customers who download or sign in to the Chick-Fil-A app can score a free eight-count order of nuggets. You can even get the grilled nuggets if you're so inclined. What's cool about the app is that you can order ahead of your visit and you get birthday perks, so it's well worth a download.

(Our app is also great, by the way. It's absolutely free, and could net you some great prizes.)

The company has also announced some new menu options.

Have you ever had their Waffle Potato Chips? If you've been to a meeting or party catered by CFA, chances are you have and you've wondered why they're not on the regular menu.

Wonder now more. The kettle-cooked treats are becoming a regular option.

They're also making the 30-count nugget trey available for regular ordering as well. If I remember correctly, the location in north Temple already offered this, but they're rolling it out across all locations this month.

Fans of the CFA fruit cup have reason to rejoice as well. The company's had plenty of feedback from folks who think CFA's gone a little overboard with the apples in recent years, so they're reducing the number of apples and striking more of a balance with the strawberries, blueberries, and mandarin oranges.

Two changes are coming to the catering menu too.

Next time you have a meeting catered, you can order the Grilled Chicken Bundle, which essentially allows everyone to custom-build their own grilled chicken sandwich.

There's also a spicy chilled grilled chicken sub option for those who want a little more kick.

Again, I apologize for stoking your Chick-Fil-A Sunday craving. Trust me, I know it hurts.
