Police responded to two more drive-by shootings in Killeen on Thursday night. That makes eleven drive-by shootings in the last week. While authorities don't believe these shootings are all related, they are trying to figure out a way to curb the increase in violence as we approach a big holiday weekend next week.

The most recent shootings that happened near Barrington and Michael drives resulted in one arrest as a vehicle description led police to a suspect. The second report of a drive-by shooting came from the 3900 block of Bur Oak. No suspects have been arrested following the second shooting.

Both drive-by shootings happened between 6:30p and 10:30p Thursday. Killeen police say they have scheduled increased patrols in these areas of Killeen to try and keep the community safe. They say gang related activity isn't out of the question in regard to the recent shootings.

Details on both shootings are still being released.
