A motion has been filed to delay the civil trial of Fort Hood victims against the government.

The focus of the lawsuit is the missed warning signs which may have indicated that accused shooter Nidal Hasan was a threat, but were missed by the government and administration. Victims are also seeking to change the labeling of the shooting from “workplace violence” to an official terrorist attack.

The motion seeks to delay the trial 14 months, on the grounds that the suit could have a negative impact on Hasan’s court martial.
