For high school boys, prom season means a quick trip to rent a tux followed by a 10-minute haircut.  For high school girls... not so much.

You've got to have a dress, but not the same dress as someone else.  Hair up or hair down?  How much makeup?  How high on the heels?  For some girls, however, the process never makes it past the dress-selection phase.  The Junior Service League of Killeen is looking to change that for the 4th straight year.

JSL presents Princess For A Day, a chance for girls throughout Central Texas to select their very own dress and accessories.  It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the girls that take part, and your help is needed.  Look through your closet today when you get home for formal/cocktail dresses, shoes and accessories.  They may be memories from long ago for you, but that dress still has the ability to make memories for girls in Central Texas.  Visit the Junior Service League of Killeen's Facebook page for locations at which you can drop off your donations.

For girls that would like to pick out a dress and accessories, this Saturday is the day to do it.  From 10:30am-1:00pm at The Senior Center at Lions Park girls with a high school ID can browse the dresses, shoes and accessories for the perfect match.  There will be dressing rooms to try on the dresses.  Listen to US 105 for more details Thursday afternoon, February 21st at 4:30pm.  Jamie Garrett will interview Lindsey and Valerie from the Junior Service League of Killeen to give you full details of Princess For A Day.
