The Temple Police Department is partnering with RAIDSOnline to help the public better monitor and interpret criminal activity in their area.

RAIDSOnline is a website that provides public access to analytical technology used by law enforcement. Users can bring up crime maps that will show areas with the highest density of crimes and even bring up some specific information, such as the location of sex offenders as well as a photo, their age and ethnicity and information regarding the offense for which they were convicted. Users can also see what sort of crimes have been committed in their area, which days of the week see the most crime committed and what times those crimes are most frequently committed. They can also sign up for Neighborhood Watch alert even if their neighborhood doesn’t have a watch program.

Information not made available will include whether or not any arrests occurred at a particular crime scene and specific descriptions of what happened during the offense.

To access this information, members of the public may visit www.raidsonline.com or visit the City of Temple Website at www.ci.temple.tx.us.

RAIDS is an acronym for Regional Analysis and Information Sharing. The site is operated by a former police officer.
