The Temple Daily Telegram reports the ribbon cutting yesterday in Salado is a celebration of I-35 improvements!

During my own trips to Salado it seems the topic of road construction effecting local business was always near by. According to the TDT, Salado saw 82 of the 127 businesses close due to I-35 construction over the last 4 years. It's amazing what road construction can do to a small town's economy. This also shows the resiliency of the Salado business community who certainly deserved a ribbon cutting in front of the Stagecoach mural along the interstate.

The TDT reports that U.S. Rep John Carter, R-Round Rock was on hand to speak at the ribbon cutting and told the crowds that, " (Salado) will rise greater than you have ever risen before. Your community will be stronger than ever before. Commerce will return to Salado greater than it's ever been before."

Come help Salado Celebrate this weekend by attending the show at Johnny's Outback! Kevin Galloway and Mike Ryan perform. Tickets are $15 at the gate.
