This week's Challenge is gonna be tough, as two of Texas' brightest new talents go head to head. We've got the new single from William Clark Green up against Jason Cassidy's latest. Your vote determines who we definitely add, choose wisely.

Green was born on the east side of Texas, but the Texas Tech alum has seen his career blossom from the west. His latest album “Rose Queen” debuted in April of 2013 to rave reviews, even peaking at No. 36 on the Country Billboard Chart. An amazing feat for an independent artist.

In June, The Dallas Observer named “She Likes the Beatles” a Top 10 Song So Far of 2013. In July Green scored his very first No.1 with that very song. This week begins another journey for Will, and he's hoping for a similar trip, one that takes "Rose Queen" to No.1. Give it a listen:

With Texas radio hits under his belt (“What if,” “Blame it on Waylon,” “Ride of Your Life,” “Honky Tonk Heaven”) Jason Cassidy is a guy who’s music you probably recognize, even if you don’t recognize his name, yet. With his second studio album Cassidy makes his musical intentions quite clear — to “Keep it Country.

How country is Jason Cassidy keeping it with his new album? How country do you think fiddle and steel guitar are? How country is thoughtful and at times appropriately rowdy lyrics? Here's challenger number two this week, "Southern Side."
