Kicking off our Hometown Hero series for the month of May is Theodore Griffin III, an armed security officer at Scott & White Hospital in Temple. Griffin, originally from Virginia Beach, is an Army Veteran who was previously stationed at Ft. Hood for six years before using his skills to help protect the public and the employees at Scott & White.

In his three years at the hospital, Griffin has proven to be a dedicated full-time worker, full-time college student (due to graduate this Spring in business), and an amazing family man. Scott & White has previously recognized Griffin as one of their best employees.

"His hardcore leadership qualities, business mindset, motivation and determination has inspired me to nominate him as a one-of-a-kind man to represent Temple's greatest heroes," wrote his wife, Jamie. "You'll never meet a man as great as he is!"

Griffin spoke of his work at the hospital, saying:

Every day is different. I love that about my job because you see a lot of things that help you get to know your community better. I learn a lot from all of the different people I meet in this area.

Teleperformance and Townsquare Media are proud to recognize this man as a Hometown Hero and present him with the Hometown Hero certificate of appreciation and a $50 gift card to Pignetti’s Italian Restaurant.
