See the Pictures From Jamie’s Hike Through Miller Springs in Belton
Easter Sunday was beautiful throughout Central Texas, and for my family it gave us a chance to get away on a camping trip with our new camper. It also gave us a chance to do something we haven't done in three or four years; Take a family hike. It's difficult to get the family to put down their tablets & phones long enough to have a conversation, much less getting two hours to go on a hike. Miller Springs in Belton took us through so many different landscapes I just had to share the pictures with you.
Logan worked up enough courage to peek over the edge of Belton Dam.
I've driven over Belton Dam a thousand times, but I've never looked over the side to see this beautiful part of Central Texas.
Tyler enjoying our Easter hike complete with his teen Bible.
Logan the shepherd.
A couple turtles getting some sun atop a tree trunk. The water is rippling from a few turtles diving underwater after hearing our loud clan coming toward them.
Believe it or not, this picture was taken inside a tree looking upward. I'm glad there weren't eyes staring back at me when I looked at this picture later. I just held the camera inside the tree and snapped the picture, not knowing if I was about to awaken a colony of bees or bats.
Logan plays peek-a-boo through the hollow tree.
Here's the hollow tree from the outside.
It's not exactly Niagara or Angel Falls, but it's still a beautiful site in Central Texas.
Like father, like son. Logan and I are ready for the road ahead with walking sticks in hand.
An Easter selfie.
