Police say a former Fort Hood 1st Cavalry sergeant arrested for luring local children into performing sex acts on camera may have as many as 100 additional unidentified victims in Bell and Coryell Counties.

Police began investigating 36-year-old Lawrence Charles Woods of Killeen after responding to a report of a sexual assault in the 5000 block of South 5th St. in Temple on September 3, 2014. The investigation revealed that Woods met the underage victim online and convinced her to send pornographic photos of herself to him. He later arranged to meet the victim to pay for the photos. At that meeting, Woods forced the victim to perform a sex act on him and recorded it on his cell phone. He threatened to expose the footage and photographs if the victim did not agree to send more images and meet him in the future.

Woods was arrested on base in November of 2014. During a two-month investigation, authorities found several additional images of underage girls in various stages of undress, Temple Police Cpl. Christopher Wilcox said in a press release Thursday. Officers were able to identify and locate several of the minors in Coppears Cove, Killeen, and rural areas of Coryell and Bell Counties.

Investigators say Woods claimed to own a modeling agency called "Starrz Fan Signs", and lured most of his victims via Facebook. He operated under several pseudonyms, including Dionte Starr, Dion Starr, Splash, Tony Savage, Pierre.Starr, and Savage King.

Area police and sheriff departments are working to identify additional victims and are asking the public for help. If your child had any interaction with Woods on or offline, there's a possibility they may have been exploited. If you learn that your child interacted with Woods or any of his Facebook pseudonyms, investigators ask that you contact your local law enforcement agency or the Temple Police Department at (254) 298-5500.
