Since when is winning “bullying”?
Ft. Worth area high school coach Tim Buchanan has been accused of bullying by a losing team member parent. I say it's a case of sour grapes.
Texas high school football is as much a part of life here as sunsets and tubing down the Guadalupe. So when I saw that the Aledo High School football coach was being accused of bullying because his Class 4A team beat Western Hills 91-0, I have to say that I think this is political correctness run amok. According to the Ft. Worth Star-Telegram, even Western Hills coach John Naylor disagrees with the bullying allegation.
Let's look at the stats of the game. Aledo (7-0) rushed for 391 yards, ran 32 plays scoring on an average of every third play with a variety of running and passing plays. Western Hills went for 79 yards rushing and 67 yards passing. I say the superior team won.
So to the Dad at Western Hills who's made the accusation, perhaps your son should try baseball.
