Southbound I-35 at Standstill After Truck Fire Near 311 Exit

Southbound traffic around I-35 mile marker 311 was halted Friday afternoon as crews worked to clear the scene of a truck fire.

Authorities have not said why a semi hauling batteries caught flame on the 311 exit ramp. The blaze was extinguished around 1:35 p.m., but debris remained scattered on the road. Traffic was being diverted Friday afternoon as crews worked to clear the scene.
