This final play from Copperas Cove High School's game on Friday, Aug. 30, has already racked up more than 200,000 views on YouTube. And for good reason--it's one of the most amazing plays we've ever seen.

It isn't often that you see a final play in a football game like this one.  With Copperas Cove taking the lead with one second left they kick off to A&M Consolidated.

As if the game wasn't filled with enough momentous occassions--Copperas Cove High School quarterback Manny Harris broke Robert Griffin III's record of most passing yards in a game (293)--the best part came at the end of the game.

Copperas Cove attempted a squib kick (short, low kickoff that is intended to bounce around on the ground before it can be picked up by the opposing team). The ball gets past the front line and is picked up by Texas A&M Consolidated Brandon Jackson. Jackson makes a few moves and throws it back to Derrick Dick. He scrambles the rest of the way to the goal post, for a last-second winning touchdown, delivering Copperas Cove its first loss of the season.

It should come as no surprise to anyone by now that Copperas Cove HS is home to some unique football talent--after all, this is the school where NFL wunderkind Robert Griffin III hails from. Even though our hometown team lost, this game will no doubt go down in history as one of the greatest high school games ever.
