Taste of Country Signed Guitar Auction Raises Over $6K for St. Jude Kids
Taste of Country readers stepped up in a big way for the kids at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Bids on a guitar signed by over 70 country stars topped $6,000, with the winner putting down the winning bid of $6,200 to make dreams come true.
Taylor Swift's name graces the pick guard of this acoustic Ephiphone guitar, but stars like Luke Bryan, Jake Owen, Eric Church and the Band Perry were also kind enough to pen their signatures during CMA Awards week in Nashville. Autographs fill the body, neck and each side of this guitar. With over 73 names, it'd be tough to add any others without cutting the strings.
The winner's generous bid money will go to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a leader in fighting life-threatening illnesses in children and all persons. Discoveries made at St. Jude are shared with doctors and scientists worldwide, as the hospital is unmatched in its research.
Thanks to all who bid on this one-of-a-kind prize! It's sure to make a great Christmas gift for a special person, which in turn will make the holidays better for the children who need it most.
