Street Breaks Away Underneath Belton School Bus

Kids headed to school in Belton this morning arrived late thanks to a sink hole.

The concrete began to break away from the intersection near 9th and Beal Streets in Belton. According to our news partners at KWTX, the bus tire disappeared below the concrete. Thankfully nobody was injured. Another school bus was needed to finish getting students to school for the day.

BISD division of transportation has sent crews to free the bus from the concrete and get it back onto the roadways. It's not clear which school the bus was headed to or the ages of the students on board.
