How about some good news, Central Texas? Our communities are being called some of the best that Texas has to offer for families in a new study from Wallethub.

The Wallethub study is named the "2016 Best and Worst Cities for Texas Families". It compares 112 of the largest cities in Texas in a number of family friendly categories from playgrounds per capita to violent crime rate. Overall, there are four main attributes that help each city earn its grade: family life and fun; education, health and safety; affordability; and socioeconomic environment.

Temple was ranked 42 overall, Killeen was ranked 62, Harker Heights was ranked 33. Waco is ranked at 100, Austin at 63, Ceder Park is ranked 10th, Round Rock 23, Copperas Cove 43, Georgetown at 66, Bryan was ranked 77. Southlake was ranked number 1, and Weslaco finished last ranked 112. You can check out the complete metrics from the study in the link above.
