Townsquare Media and Teleperformance in Killeen are now accepting school supply donations for Killeen ISD Kids in need.

It's almost back to school time for Killeen ISD. Many stores will begin to offer discounts on back to school necessities over the next few weeks. The Texas Tax Holiday on School supplies happens the weekend of August 11th to 13th.

Notebooks, pens, pencils, scissors, glue, crayons, backpacks, and everything else that is recommended for students by KISD are the kinds of things that are needed for Stuff the Bus.

Drop off locations include: Townsquare Media, Teleperformance in Killeen, Smallcakes in Temple, Little Land Play Gym in Temple, Budget Used Auto Sales, Smoothie King, Pizza Hut locations in Killeen and Harker Heights, and the Best Little Floorhouse in Harker Heights.

Another big question we get about this time each Stuff the Bus is "How can families request assistance from Stuff the Bus and Killeen ISD?" There are 2 ways.

1) The HARP Program. Parents request through the school their child attends. A backpack with all supplies may be provided to those qualifying HARP students upon request.

2) District parenting educator Brenda Smith. Parents can let their child's teacher know that supplies are needed and that teacher will send a request through Brenda Smith for supplies and pre-packed backpacks.

We all hope to see you at Stuff The Bus Family day back at Teleperformance in Killeen on August 12th! We will have music, food vendors, bounce houses, and prizes while we stuff the buss for Killeen ISD. Please help if you can. Any and all donations go a long way to helping students succeed during the school year. Thanks in advance from Townsquare Media and Teleperformance in Killeen!
