Call in the Ghostbusters.   A recent Nielsen Entertainment online study of more than 1,000 adults, found that most of them (79%) believe in  ghosts.   Over half claim to have experienced paranormal activity -- seeing (57%), hearing (53%), or feeling (51%) something they can't explain.

And like the movie “The Sixth Sense” more than half of the believers think ghosts "seek  to resolve unfinished business" (53%).

The survey found that the older you get, the less likely you are to believe in ghosts, aliens, monsters, and the like, with 31% of participants age 55+ claiming to "not at all believe."

Women are more likely to believe in the existence of ghosts, while men prefer aliens.

The survey was commissioned by Destination America's all-new series WHEN GHOSTS ATTACK. Even though most of the ghost believing people don't think ghosts will hurt you.  This show begs to differ.
