Fun and food were on the menu at the Temple College Foundation’s 3rd annual Kings of Cuisine showcase.

Chefs from near and far gathered at the Hilton Garden Inn in Temple Saturday night to treat guest to samples of their signature dishes. Visitors were encouraged to vote for their favorites by tipping the chefs, and the proceeds went to benefit the Temple College Foundation’s continued efforts to improve the college and provide scholarships and educational tools to exceptional students.

Our very own Peter Christian was there to serve up his delicious Jamaican jerk jambalaya, which was amazing!

Among the many other offerings were vegan falafels, chicken biriyani, sweet honey ribs and an incredible mushroom bisque that ran out quickly once word got around of how delicious it was.

There was plenty of dessert on hand too, including some awesome tiramisu tarts and cranberry bread pudding. Some chefs even offered drinks of an adult persuasion, and the champagne bar and hot buttered rum booth ended up being big hits.

The totals from the event are not yet available, but last year’s event raised nearly $10,000 for the Temple College Foundation.
