Temple Firefighters Fill the Boot for Muscular Dystrophy Association
If you're driving around Temple today and you see fireman walking around with a boot, don't panic. It's for a good cause.
Temple firefighters will be out and about, through Saturday, to help out the Muscular Dystophy Association. It's their "Fill The Boot" campaign. Last year, according to Captian Ron Stewart, they collected $35,000, and this year they would like to beat that amount. In fact, Captain Stewart said that they've set a $40,000 dollar goal. Donations are also being taken at the Fire Station Training Center at 7268 Airport Road, from 9am to 6pm.
