UPDATE: KWTX reports that parolee Juan Macias has been taken into custody. He was booked into the Bell County Jail Friday at 2:12 PM. Bond information was not available Friday night.

Parole officer Corey Henderson remains missing. He reportedly checked himself into Scott and White Medical Center Thursday, then checked himself out at 9:30 PM Thursday.

Henderson's wife received a text message from Henderson reading, "Nobody will have to worry about me after tonight." A gun is also reportedly missing from the couple's home.

Investigators are working to determine what happened to a parole officer and a man whose house he visited for a walk-through Thursday, our news partner reports.

According to KWTX, the officer and another person conducted the walk-through at the home of 45-year-old Juan Macias Thursday, and the officer's wife reported him missing either Thursday night or Friday morning.

Jason Clark with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice told KWTX that both the officer and Macias are missing, but that the department does not believe the cases are related. Clark did not elaborate upon that belief.

KWTX's John Carroll writes that Macias is on parole for aggravated robbery, and he is wanted in connection to a murder investigation.
