Update 4:15 PM: Police have identified the victim as 25-year-old Lequincion Marquelle Baker. Baker died Friday afternoon as a result of multiple stab wounds.

Police are currently searching for 35-year-old Edward Thomas Bush Jr. in connection with the attack.

According to police, the stabbing occured after the two men got into a fight in an apartment in the 2400 block of Valley Forge Avenue shortly after noon Friday.

UPDATE 3:10 PM: The Temple Police Department issued the following press release Friday afternoon.

On Friday 11/06/15 at approximately 12:37 PM, Temple Police Officers responded to the 2400 block of Valley Forge Dr. in reference to a victim stabbed multiple times.

Upon arrival, Officers located the victim (B/M/ 25-30 yoa) who had been stabbed multiple times. The victim was treated on scene by Temple Fire and Rescue. He was transported to Baylor Scott and White for advanced medical care. The victim’s injuries are considered life threatening. The victim’s name is being withheld at this time due to the ongoing nature of this investigation.

A witness informed officers that a verbal altercation took place within an apartment in the 2400 blk of Valley Forge. During the course of the verbal altercation, the suspect in this case produce a knife and stabbed the suspect multiple times.

Officers were able to develop a suspect in this case and are actively searching for the suspect. The suspect’s information is being withheld at this time due to the ongoing investigation.

Police in Temple are investigating a stabbing at an apartment building at the corner of Saulsbury and Yorktown Drive.

A representative with the Temple PD's Public Information Office said the stabbing occurred around 12:30 PM, but did not provide details about the victim or victims or their condition. However, he did say police are searching the area for a suspect, but he did not yet have details or a description.

Police were closing off the area with crime scene tape around 1 PM, and an ambulance was on the scene. Temple PD PIO is expected to release more details within the hour. We will update this story as more information becomes available.
