Everyone is invited out for the official Christmas lighting of the Temple Ronald McDonald House.   Light a Light: Share a Night,  Thursday, December 5th from 5 until 7 p.m. at the Ronald McDonald House, 2415 S. 47th Street.

Santa Claus and Ronald McDonald, will be there along with entertainment provided by the Belton High School Madrigal and Scott Elementary School Choir, Chimes.

The Ronald McDonald House provides a home away from home for families who live more than 45 miles from Temple and have children being treated at local hospitals.  Families can have a “soft place to land” during stressful times.  They are close to their hospitalized children, helping them heal faster, and parents have a place to relax.

You can help these families with a small donation.  Lights may be sponsored for $10 each,  the same amount each family may donate for one night’s stay at Ronald McDonald House.

The Ronald McDonald House has nineteen bedrooms, each with a private bathroom and television, two double kitchens, two laundry rooms, three public computers, several large living areas, and an outdoor play yard.  Donations from corporations and individuals keep the house available for families who need it.

You can bring the whole family out to Light a Light, there will be refreshments, entertainment and KWTX will put the whole thing on TV.
