Here's what we know currently, at the time of writing. The number to the restaurant currently goes to voicemail, and on Google, it states the location is temporarily closed.

Reports have surfaced that the location is being remodeled, but we've been unable to confirm the reports.

As this is a developing story, we will have more information when it becomes available.

An employee by the name of Macy Williams reached out to me to fill me in on a few more details. Macy tells me the newly remodeled Whataburger is expected to be completed in 10 weeks, but could take a bit longer depending on how the construction goes.

"[I] can't wait to to get back to serving our community," Macy wrote me in a Facebook message. "I just wanted to make sure our regulars know #0629 will be back."
