Beginning Saturday, February 25th, the Temple Police Department will participate in a state-wide effort to arrest people with outstanding warrants and fines.

The Great Texas Warrant Roundup targets defendants with traffic, parking, city ordinance, penal code, or higher charge warrants. 260 police departments across the state will be working together to apprehend people who have failed to pay their fines, and police will arrest defendants at home, at work, or anywhere they may be found.

Temple PD Public Information Officer Shawana Neely said Wednesday that people who have or believe they may have outstanding fines should act immediately to avoid arrest and the possibility of losing the right to renew their driver's license.

Officer Neely said those with an outstanding traffic warrant can avoid arrest by visiting the Temple Municipal Court at 401 North 3rd St. or calling (254) 298-5687 to make arrangements to settle matter before the roundup begins. Tickets can also be paid at templetx.gov.
