One of Temple's oldest and most beautiful houses will soon receive a Historic Temple Marker.

The Temple Historic Preservation Committee will host a reception honoring the Barclay Bryan House at 804 South 25th Street on Thursday, July 15th, beginning at 4 PM.

The Barclay Bryan House, located across from the Scott & White Santa Fe Clinic on Avenue H, was built for William Anderson Barclay between 1913 and 1915 and was designed with a number of unique architectural features. From 1933 to 1984, it served as an inn called the Colonial Courts Tourist Home.

The house's current owners, Roger and Audrei Glick, have worked to restore the property, preserving this gorgeous fixture of the Temple community.

Anyone who would like to learn more about the Barclay Bryan House or the Temple Historic Marker Program is encouraged to attend the reception, but you've got to RSVP. You can do so by calling the Temple Visitor Center at (254) 298-5900.
