Texas Police In Hot Pursuit Of Escaped Steer For Nearly Two Hours [Video]

Police in Weatherford, Texas chased a steer that escaped from a local butcher shop for almost two hours last Thursday. Only in Texas can you see a cowboy on horseback attempt to rope and run down a steer as you drive down the road. It's a pretty neat clip in the video above, and even cooler the way the cowboys of Wetherford come to the aid of the police when needed.

Weatherford Police released this photo after the steer ran into the door of this squad car before being captured.

Once captured, the steer was returned to the Hamilton Meats butcher shop but it's too stressed from running around Texas to be processed. The steer will be sent on vacation to a ranch in De Leon for a little rest and relaxation.
