Police are searching for a man who allegedly ripped a Make America Great Again hat off a teenager's head and threw a drink in his face at a Whataburger Tuesday night.

WOAI-TV reports that it happened at a San Antonio Whataburger location. 16-year-old Hunter Richard was sporting the hat while eating with friends when a man approached and started tearing into him over the MAGA attire.

In a video that's been shared thousands of times since the assault, the man is seen holding the hat as he yells at Hunter, then throws a drink in his face and storms out of the restaurant. Hunter says the man pulled the hat off of his head, and even took some hair with him.

"I support my President and if you don’t let’s have a conversation about it instead of ripping my hat off," Hunter said. "I just think a conversation about politics is more productive for the entire whole rather than taking my hat and yelling subjective words to me."

According to WOAI, a police report was filed and officers are on the lookout for the man in the video.

I know things are tense in politics right now, so I made this handy list of things you can do if you see someone wearing clothes or carrying a sign supporting public figures you don't like or agree with.

Step 1: Ignore them.

Step 2: See Step 1.

It's really that easy to avoid being a jerk who ends up going viral for throwing a drink in a kid's face.
