Exactly how much SIN is in our area? Does Satan rule over Central Texas?

Gather round me, everybody, while I preach some....

Those words and those of the headline were penned by the late Johnny Mercer when he wrote the lyrics to "Accentuate The Positive" way back when.

And Brothers & Sisters, there is good news. Bell County and its twin population centers are not Sodom and Gomorrah. Harker Heights, however, you're standing in the need of prayer.

Relocation website FindTheHome.Com ranks places on a "vice index." How many businesses of "ill repute" exist in a particular place. Places that cater to lewd and lascivious behavior, which to some folks includes liquor stores, but to virtually anyone you ask would definitely include place of adult entertainment. Strip clubs. Video stores. You get the idea.

As a whole Bell County is as average as it gets for "vice."

Temple, seen as the most "established" of the cities in Bell County has less vice than Bell County, Texas and even the USA as a whole.

Killeen is about average.

Which is totally okay as far as Harker Heights is concerned. They can handle the overflow. Roll out the barrel of DAMNATION!

We'd like to point out that when it comes to people who ARE behaving themselves, Bell County has more religious congregations than average.
