As we approach the first month of the 2016 Presidential Primaries, it becomes time to really think hard about who you want to see in the Oval Office. Unfortunately for some, many people believe everything they see on the Internet. Let's clear the air of one certain rumor that was posted on fake NBC and ABC news sites: Ghostbusters and Caddyshack actor Bill Murray is NOT running for President of the United States.

The article, initially published on January 20 by the ABC hoax site, is indeed a fake, though many users on the Internet believed it to be real. From Twitter to Facebook, many people's hopes were dashed and as much as we all love Caddyshack, Groundhog Day, and Scrooged, it just wouldn't make sense to see him jump into a Presidential campaign. Although he hasn't officially confirmed or denied the rumor...

This isn't the first time the United States of the Internet has toyed with the notion of Bill as President. There's a Facebook group and a Twitter account called Vote For Murray, which mostly consists of one-liners and memes.
