Thomas Rhett Akins Keeps His Lips to Himself in His Music Videos

Thomas Rhett Akins has been married a little over a year, he wants to make sure it lasts a long time so to avoid any drama his wife Lauren travels with him as much as possible and Rhett says when she can’t come,  “We try to talk a lot.  We try to talk at least three or four times a day.  Just to kind of let her know what's going on and vice versa."

And no kissing and hugging girls in his videos either.  Check out the criteria for “It Goes Like This”.

Rhett says, "It wasn't even my arm doing any of that stuff.  I was very adamant with the record label and with my video producer, just saying, 'Look man, it's not a big deal.  It's just not really me to be all over some girl in a music video.'

He said, "If you notice, I was only in one scene with that girl.  And it was at the very end.

Rhett explains his hands off reasoning.   "Even if they are the nicest people in the world, it's just not really what I do.  I'm really glad that everybody is down with not having to kiss all over some girl because that would be pretty awkward."
