Tim McGraw has released another song, 'Overrated,' from his upcoming album, 'Sundown Heaven Town.' The tune, which is available on iTunes, is his response to people trying too hard to enjoy the finer things in life at the expense of their own happiness.

"This rock we're rolling on / Is like a circus ride that don't last long / Round and round we go and then we're gone / We waste time chasing ghosts / And overlook the things that matter most," he sings.

Building up a stack of bones / Keeping up with the Jones / Getting us all so jacked and jaded / Baby if you're asking me / Love is really all we need / Everything else is overrated, overrated.

'Overrated' was written by hit songwriters Shane McAnally, Josh Osborne and Rivers Rutherford. It's one of 13 songs on the new record, which the singer-songwriter says is the culmination of more than two decades in the music business.

“This album is very encompassing of everything that I’ve done in my career,” McGraw explains. “I think it’s a good microcosm of what my 20 or so years in music have been, in a lot of ways. You can certainly hear parts of my career throughout all of these songs, as well as the future and where my music is headed. To me, the title of the album is all about that time where you stop doing what you have to do and start doing what you want to do.”

'Sundown Heaven Town' will be released on Sept. 16. Download 'Overrated' here, and pre-order the entire album here.
